
Cameroon Bishops Strengthen Partnership with Aid to the Church in Need During Germany Visit
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the delegation from the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (NECC), led by its President, His Grace Andrew Nkea Fuanya, archbishop of the Archdiocese of Bamenda paid a working visit to the international headquarters of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) in Königstein im Taunus, Germany. Accompanying the President were the Bishop of Ebolowa
and Vice President of the National Episcopal Conference, His Lordship Philippe Alain Mbarga, and His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi, President of the Episcopal Commission for Social Communications and Bishop of Buea. They met with Louis Sisto, Head of Section Afrika VI and the assistant, Cecile Graeff. The visit formed part of the Conference’s ongoing mission to strengthen pastoral collaboration and deepen ties with long-standing Church partners.

Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) is an international Catholic charity dedicated to supporting Christians across the globe. Operating in more than 140 countries, the organization provides assistance through the construction of churches, the formation of seminarians and clergy, humanitarian and emergency relief, and various pastoral initiatives that sustain the life and mission of the Church.
The Cameroonian bishops will continue their working visit on Thursday, July 2, with meetings at Missio and Misereor in Aachen. The mission will conclude on Friday with engagements in Berlin, marking the end of a series of strategic encounters aimed at fostering stronger partnerships for the growth and mission of the Church in Cameroon.
