
The Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of Cameroon (CATUC) held its annual meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, bringing together Bishops of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province, scholars and other key stakeholders of the institution.

The meeting took place within the framework of the 80th Ordinary Session of the Bamenda Provincial Episcopal Conference (BAPEC) and provided an opportunity for the Board to assess the university’s progress, review key decisions and deliberate on priorities for the coming academic year.

Among the major items on the agenda were the review and adoption of the minutes of previous meetings, follow-up on resolutions already taken, and examination of reports on the recently concluded academic year.
The Board also considered the challenges confronting the institution and explored practical strategies to strengthen its operations, academic standards and overall development.

Particular attention was given to the university’s mission of providing quality education and practical formation rooted in Catholic values. Discussions focused on how CATUC could continue to contribute meaningfully to the intellectual, moral and professional formation of its students and the wider community.
