
Board of Governors of Major Seminaries Meets in Bamenda
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the Board of Governors of Major Seminaries of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province convened in the Archdiocese of Bamenda for its annual meeting.

The meeting, held within the framework of the 80th Ordinary Session of BAPEC, brought together the Bishops of the dioceses in the province, as well as Rectors, formators, and stakeholders of the province’s major seminaries. These include St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui – STAMS, St. John Paul II Major Seminary, Bachuo Ntai, and St. John Mary Vianney Spiritual Formation Centre, Bafut.

During the session, members reviewed academic results and planning for the new year, examined reports on the life of seminarians, and assessed the intellectual, spiritual, and moral formation programs.

The deliberations also focused on re-strategizing ways to enhance priestly formation in the province and finding better approaches to address current challenges facing the seminaries.
