The Diocese of Buea remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare of its clergy. In light of the completion of the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral, ensuring the presence of priests to meet the spiritual needs of parishioners has become a top priority.
On Friday, September 26th, 2025, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi, accompanied by Fr. Paschal Siben (Deputy Project Director), Mr. Anye Avic (Diocesan Architect), and other close collaborators, carried out an on-site inspection of the new presbytery at the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral. The ground floor of the building is already in use, while significant progress has been made on the remaining structure — including roofing and plastering. Current work underway includes window installation, tiling, electrical fittings, and other final touches.

BISHOP BIBI INSPECTING NEW PRESBYTERY
The presbytery is thoughtfully designed to house twelve or more priests, ensuring they are comfortably accommodated and well-positioned to serve the growing needs of the faithful.
Featuring an inbuilt chapel and sanctuary, the presbytery is designed to foster spiritual renewal and deeper communion with God. It will provide a sacred space for priests to engage in daily prayer, reflection, and recollection, thereby strengthening their spiritual lives as they continue to serve the faithful.
