Bathed in the light of the Risen Christ, the Church celebrated the triumph of mercy over sin. On the Second Sunday of Easter, April 12th, 2026, Christians of the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral gathered to celebrate God’s Divine Mercy.

The celebration began with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi, and was an opportunity for Christians to reflect on God’s endless love and mercy.
As the Church reflects on God’s boundless mercy despite man’s sinful nature, Mother Church invites faithful to call to mind their sins and enter into sincere introspection, especially acknowledging those moments when they had refused to extend mercy, offer forgiveness, or trust in God’s compassionate love.
In his reflection, the proper pastor of the faith noted that, it is through forgiveness that the presence of God dwells fully in the heart of all christians. He futher challenged the faithful to let go of their deepest grief, forgive, and pray at all times to have hearts ready to reconcile at all time.
The celebration ended with a renewed call for forgiveness in the church, and christians even in the deepest moments of pain and grief.
