After five years of faithful discernment, Brother Augustine Tar Nyuydine took a bold and grace-filled step into religious life by making his First Profession in the Order of Saint Martin de Porres. On Tuesday, 30th September 2025, in a solemn Mass celebrated by His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi at the Brothers’ Chapel, Brother Augustine publicly professed his commitment to live out the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience.
During his homily, Bishop Michael Bibi likened Brother Augustine’s profession to the commitment of the early Christians—men and women of deep faith who left everything behind to follow Christ and serve His Church. He described the profession as a bold step of faith and profound sacrifice, rooted in love for God and a desire to live fully in service to the Gospel

Brother Augustine was clothed with the Religious Habit, a visible sign of his consecration to God. More than just attire, the Habit serves as an eschatological sign—a constant reminder that this earthly life is temporary and that we are called to a greater, eternal reality. It not only identifies him as a member of the Brothers of Saint Martin de Porres but also draws him toward holiness and perfect love. Embracing the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience, Brother Augustine now begins a life rooted in deep sacrifice, discipline, and a profound call to holiness.
