On Saturday, July 5th, 2025, the local ordinary of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi, held an inclusive and interactive meeting with the Christians of Saint Charles Lwanga Parish in Molyko, Buea.
The meeting, which preceded the bishop’s official visit to the parish scheduled for Sunday, July 6th, involved Bishop Michael Bibi, the parish priest, Reverend Father Marcel Ewang, and the parishioners. The session aimed to discuss issues affecting the parish, address the concerns and worries of the parishioners, and collaboratively seek solutions to the proposed issues.
In his welcome address, Father Ewang expressed profound gratitude to His Lordship for honoring the parish with his presence. He also thanked the parishioners present for their willingness to engage in discussions aimed at advancing the parish.

BISHOP BIBI LISTENING TO CHRISTIANS
Father Ewang further acknowledged the bishop’s exceptional contributions to the parish, particularly noting the extension of the church building, his timely responses to parish affairs, and the construction of the Regina Parish Finance (REPAFIN). These efforts were commended as highly commendable, and Father Ewang expressed deep appreciation for them.
Despite these commendable initiatives, Father Ewang, much like Oliver Twist, requested the bishop’s assistance with the restructuring of the parish hall and the purchase of chairs to facilitate event hosting. He stated that these enhancements could significantly benefit the parish due to the hall’s strategic location.
Addressing the priests and the parishioners, His Lordship Michael Bibi praised their efforts to foster the growth of the parish. He promised to address the issues raised and instructed the parish priest to collaborate closely with the parish pastoral council to ensure transparency and accountability. Additionally, he requested weekly updates on parish developments to be reported to the bishop’s house.
In his concluding remarks, Bishop Michael Bibi showered blessings upon the Christians and expressed his willingness to visit the parish again whenever needed.
