
During his annual pastoral visit to Saint Dominic Parish Munyenge on April 3rd 2025, His Lordship Michael Bibi encouraged the local Christians to remain hopeful in God amid the challenges posed by the ongoing crises in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon. Celebrating a Pontifical Mass in this largely deserted area, the bishop expressed gratitude to the priests of the Muyuka Deanery for their unwavering commitment to evangelization in such difficult times.

Bishop Bibi called for unity among Christians, urging them to accept their crosses, forgive one another, and seek God’s grace to live as true followers of Christ. He prayed for peace, guidance, and protection for the congregation, reminding them to be thankful to God for the gift of life.

In response, the parish pastoral council chair expressed heartfelt thanks to Bishop Bibi for the special attention shown to their community during these trying times, as well as gratitude to Fr. Gaston for his dedicated pastoral care. She appealed for assistance to complete the construction of their new church.

Fr. Gaston also conveyed his deep appreciation to Bishop Bibi, acknowledging him as a true Shepherd. Despite the ongoing sociopolitical crises, the parish priest reassured the bishop of the community’s steadfast support and highlighted the need for a health facility to address the medical needs of the parishioners.
Following the Mass, Bishop Bibi blessed the new church building under construction and assured the congregation of his support for its completion. He also emphasized the importance of education, encouraging families to prioritize sending their children to school.
