St. Joseph’s College Sasse Begins Academic Year with Christ at the Centre.
With prayers, thanksgiving and a renewed commitment to Christ, the Saint Joseph’s College Sasse community on 4 October 2026 welcomed their Chief Shepherd and Proprietor, His Lordship Most Rev. Michael Bibi, for the inaugural Mass marking the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year.

The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Bishop Michael Bibi, provided an opportunity for students and staff to thank God for the past academic year, entrust the new academic year into His hands, and begin the new journey with Christ at the centre.

It also offered the college community a moment to seek God’s guidance, wisdom and protection throughout the academic year.
In his reflection, the Chief Shepherd reminded the students and staff that true freedom does not consist in doing whatever one wants, but in fulfilling the purpose for which humanity was created: to know, love and serve God. He emphasized that only God can ultimately satisfy the deepest desires of the human heart and urged the college community to live in a manner that reflects this truth.

Bishop Bibi further challenged the students and staff to respond to God’s call to conversion by turning away from sin and embracing a life rooted in faith and righteousness. He urged them to shun anything that could jeopardize their relationship with God or undermine their formation and stay at the college, encouraging them to make the new academic year a time of spiritual growth, discipline and deeper commitment to Christ.
