The gathering brought together altar servers from across the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda for a moment of prayer, fellowship, learning and spiritual renewal.
In his homily, Mgr. Siben lauded the participants for their commitment to the things of the Lord, describing their gathering as an opportunity to commune with one another and learn from their different experiences in serving the Church.

He reminded the altar servers that their decision to serve at the altar and assist in the celebration of the Holy Mass is not merely a gesture or routine activity, but a significant service to God and the Church.
The Vicar General encouraged the young servers to make good use of the opportunity given to them through their service at the altar. He urged them to learn from the experience, reflect on the values they acquire through their service, and continually ask themselves what they have gained from serving the Lord.
