The city of Kumba came alive on Saturday, January 3, 2026, as His Lordship Bishop Agapitus Nfon, Bishop of the Diocese of Kumba, warmly welcomed bishops from all 26 dioceses of Cameroon for the opening of the 49th Annual Seminar of the Bishops of Cameroon.
The highly anticipated gathering has drawn prominent personalities from both the Church and the State. Among the distinguished guests present was Mr. Bernard Okalia Bilai, Governor of the South West Region, alongside senators, senior administrative authorities, and other top state officials, underscoring the importance of the event to both ecclesiastical and national life.
