Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish Welcomes Bishop Bibi for Pastoral Visit in Limbe
Christians of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Livanda, Mile II, Limbe, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, joyfully welcomed His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea, for a pastoral visit to the parish.
The Bishop presided over a solemn Eucharistic celebration attended by hundreds of faithful, marking a moment of prayer, thanksgiving, and communion with their Chief Shepherd.

In his homily, Bishop Bibi reminded the faithful that the work of building the Church is the responsibility of every believer, not only the clergy. He urged Christians to serve selflessly with their time, talents, and resources in support of God’s work and the evangelizing mission of the Church. The Bishop emphasized that true discipleship is measured by a willingness to serve others and to help make the parish a vibrant community of faith and love.
The prelate also administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 86 Christians, calling it a strengthening of their faith and a deepening of their commitment to the Church. Addressing the 86 candidates for Confirmation, the prelate explained that the sacrament perfects the grace of Baptism and confers the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. Marked with the oil of Holy Chrism, he said, the newly confirmed are spiritually equipped and sent forth as soldiers of Christ to defend the faith, especially in a world that often challenges Christian values. He encouraged them to remain rooted in prayer, the sacraments, and the teachings of the Church so they may live as courageous witnesses.
Drawing from Isaiah 55:1-4, Bishop Bibi spoke of God’s open invitation to all humanity to partake in His heavenly banquet freely. He urged the faithful to respond to that call by turning away from sin and embracing righteousness, and challenged all believers to be shining lights and authentic witnesses through their daily lives.
