Bishop Bibi Inspects New High School Block at St. Joseph’s College Sasse Ahead of New Academic Year
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions, construction work is steadily progressing on the new High School Block of St. Joseph’s College Sasse.
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, visited the college to inspect the ongoing project as the institution prepares for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.

During the visit, the Bishop assessed the progress of work on the three-storey edifice, where plastering is currently ongoing. The new High School Block is designed to accommodate the Lower and Upper Sixth classes, as well as the college’s laboratories, providing improved facilities for teaching, learning and practical studies.
The project comes at a time when St. Joseph’s College Sasse continues to demonstrate outstanding academic excellence. In the 2026 General Certificate of Education (GCE) examinations, the college recorded a remarkable 100% success rate at both the Ordinary and Advanced Levels.
The new structure is expected to further enhance the teaching and learning environment, providing students and teachers with improved facilities as the college continues to uphold its longstanding tradition of academic excellence and holistic formation.
