
9th of January 2026, as the 49th Annual Seminar of the Bishops of Cameroon draws to a close in the serene Diocese of kumba , the prelates have been called to deepen their commitment to truth in Christ and to perfect their communion with one another.

During today’s Eucharistic celebration, officiated by Bishop Jan Ozga of the Diocese of Doumé-Abong’Mbang, Bishop Abraham Kome of the Diocese of Bafang delivered an inspiring homily.

He urged his brother bishops to embrace a truthful relationship with Christ, emphasizing that true collegiality is vital for preserving the Church’s diversity and dignity. While acknowledging the challenges that may arise in their pursuit of communion and collegiality, he passionately encouraged the Bishops to remain resolute, overcoming these bottlenecks to perfect their unity.

Throughout the day, the bishops will engage in final discussions aimed at strengthening the bonds of communion and collegiality they aspire to achieve. The day will culminate in a joyous cultural evening at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Kumba Mbeng, where they will celebrate their shared mission and the richness of their diverse backgrounds.
