With a vision to modernize and strengthen the Diocese of Buea’s communication apostolate, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese, His Lordship Michael Bibi, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, visited the construction site of the new Communication Centre to inspect the progress of work. The project has recorded remarkable transformation in recent months, with wall tiling currently underway as construction advances steadily towards completion.

The new edifice is envisioned as a central hub for the Diocese’s communication activities, bringing together its various arms of communication under one roof. It is designed to provide a conducive environment for greater collaboration, creativity and professionalism, while enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the Diocese’s communication output.

Beyond its physical structure, the Communication Centre represents a significant investment in the Church’s mission of evangelization. The facility is expected to strengthen the Diocese’s capacity to proclaim the Gospel, promote the teachings and activities of the Church, and engage the faithful more effectively through television, print, digital media and other modern communication platforms.

The steady progress of the project reflects Bishop Bibi’s commitment to making communication an essential instrument of evangelization in an increasingly digital world. Once completed, the new centre is expected to play a vital role in improving the Diocese’s communication strategies and ensuring that the message and activities of the Church reach an even wider audience.
