A vision for stronger Catholic communication in the Diocese of Buea continues to take shape as work steadily advanced on the Diocese’s state-of-the-art communications complex.
It was against this backdrop that the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi, on Monday, 27 July 2026, visited the Directorate of Communication Building to formally assess the progress of construction.

Accompanying the Bishop were the Diocesan Project Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Pascal Siben, and members of the Directorate of Communication, who joined him during the inspection of the facility.During the visit, the Bishop toured the ultra-modern three-storey structure, which has reached the tiling and finishing stage, marking another significant milestone in its development.
The inspection offered an opportunity to evaluate the pace and quality of the ongoing works as the Diocese moves steadily towards the completion of one of its landmark communication projects.
Situated opposite the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education in Buea, the facility is envisioned to serve as a central hub that will foster greater synergy, efficiency, and collaboration among the various arms of the Directorate of Communication. Upon completion, it will house the office of the Directorate of Communication itself, the Diocesan Printing Press, the Diocesan Bookshop, DMRTV, and the Catholic Panorama, further strengthening the Diocese of Buea’s mission of evangelisation through modern, integrated, and effective communication.
