The Bishop of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, is meeting with the seminarians of the Diocese of Buea at the Chapel of the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre as part of the Diocese’s annual five-day encounter between the Chief Shepherd and his future priests.
The meeting, which follows the opening Mass celebrated on 12 July 2026, provides a unique opportunity for the Bishop to listen to the seminarians, accompany them in their journey of formation, and offer fatherly guidance as they continue discerning their vocation to the priesthood.

Rev Fr Epie during his opening Remarks
Welcoming the seminarians at the opening session, the Diocesan Vocations Director, Rev. Fr. Epie, presented them to the Bishop, saying: “These are your children, My Lord. They have come to meet you.” He expressed gratitude to Bishop Michael Bibi for his commitment to priestly formation and his continued closeness to the seminarians.
The annual encounter, which runs from 12 to 16 July 2026, is an important moment in the life of the Diocese. It strengthens the bond between the Bishop and his seminarians through prayer, dialogue, spiritual formation, and pastoral guidance. During the course of the meeting, Bishop Michael Bibi will also hold individual one-on-one sessions with each seminarian, offering them personal encouragement, listening to their experiences, and guiding them as they prepare to become priests after the heart of Christ.
