On the Verge of Completion: Bishop Bibi Inspects New Communication Hub
A major leap forward in modern evangelization is unfolding in the Catholic Diocese of Buea as construction on the new Directorate of Communication headquarters nears the finish line.

The project, which has officially transitioned into its final finishing phase, represents a forward-thinking approach to the Church’s media ministry. It stands as a physical manifestation of a progressive vision, marking a monumental step forward in how the Diocese connects with its community.

This Thursday, June 25, 2026, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, visited the construction site to personally assess the progress of the project. During the inspection, beautiful tiling works were actively underway, giving the structure its elegant finishing touch. Bishop Bibi expressed great satisfaction with the quality of the craftsmanship accomplished so far and encouraged the technical team to maintain the high standards that have characterized the project from its inception.

Designed as a state-of-the-art communication hub, the modern edifice is built to centralize and elevate the media organs of the Diocese. Once completed, the spacious building will host the entire Directorate of Communication. This includes the Divine Mercy Radio and Television station (DMRTV), the diocesan printing press, the Cameroon Panorama newspaper, the diocesan bookshop, and the central administrative offices of the Directorate itself.

By bringing these vital arms under one roof, the new headquarters is set to profoundly reshape how the Church connects with the faithful. The centralized facility will help increase synergy among the various media departments, fostering a more collaborative working environment. Ultimately, this strategic integration will streamline operations, maximize resources, and ensure a better, more efficient service in broadcasting the message of faith across the region and beyond.
