
The College of Consultors of the Diocese of Buea held its first official session for 2026 on January 23rd, 2026. The meeting took place within the context of the Diocese’s Pastoral and Economic Week, underscoring the importance of strategic planning and reflection. This gathering brought together key stakeholders to discuss crucial matters affecting the Diocese.

The session, presided over by the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese, His Lordship Bishop Michael Miabesue Bibi, focused on a comprehensive review of the previous year’s progress and shortcomings. Discussions also centered on an assessment of priest conduct, an examination of Diocesan finances, and deliberations on how to propel the Diocese forward in its mission. The consultors engaged in in-depth analyses, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance the Diocese’s operations.

The College of Consultors, a body of close collaborators and advisers to the Bishop, plays a vital role in guiding the Diocese. This meeting came at a crucial time as the Diocese of Buea prepares for a Diocesan Synod, aiming to foster growth, renewal, and spiritual rejuvenation.
