Today, January 16th, 2026, the Bishop of the Diocese of Buea carried out an on-the-spot visit to several ongoing diocesan project sites around Buea, as part of his commitment to ensuring quality development and timely execution of projects within the Diocese.

Bishop Bibi at the Pastoral Center
The Bishop’s first stop was the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Center, where he inspected works at the apartment complex and Block C of the center. The projects are at an advanced stage, with most of the apartments and halls already plastered and internal finishing works ongoing. During the visit, the Bishop toured almost all the rooms on various floors, closely examining the tiling, walls, plumbing, and other aspects of the finishing. He also interacted with workers on site, receiving first-hand information on the progress of the works and projected timelines for completion.

From the pastoral center, the Bishop proceeded to the newly constructed head office of Regina Pacis Microfinance (REPAFIN). At the site, he observed the pace of work as staff and contractors race against time to meet the planned relocation deadline. Management explained that the financial institution is expected to move from its current temporary location into the new building by the end of the month.

Bishop Inspects the Directorate Building
The Bishop’s final stop was the Directorate Building, where he once again inspected the level of work completed. He engaged with those in charge of the project, supervising the works and receiving updates on progress, challenges, and expected completion dates.
The visit reflects the Bishop’s hands-on leadership style and his determination to ensure that diocesan projects are executed to standard, serving their intended pastoral, administrative, and social purposes for the growth of the Diocese of Buea.
