
With a desire to strengthen the administration and pastoral life of the Diocese of Buea, members of the Presbyteral Council convened today, November 6th, 2025, for a strategic meeting held at the Bishop’s Conference Room. The session was presided over by His Lordship, Bishop Michael Bibi, Chief Shepherd of the Diocese.

MEMBERS OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Presbyteral Council, which serves as the senate of the diocese and includes members of the Board of Consultors, gathered to deliberate on several pressing issues concerning diocesan life. Key matters discussed included: the conduct and pastoral responsibility of priests, welfare schemes for aging and retired clergy, increasing incidents of encroachment and theft of Church lands, the creation of land certificates for Catholic properties, and preparations for the upcoming diocesan end-of-year harvest thanksgiving. Discussions also covered the anticipated Diocesan Synod.

The session forms the first phase of reflection and planning, with a second and conclusive meeting scheduled for Friday, November 7th, 2025. Resolutions taken during these meetings will shape key administrative and pastoral actions, ensuring continued growth and the holistic development of the Diocese of buea
