Members of the World Apostolate of Fatima also known as Blue Army, have been urged to revisit the message of our lady of Fatima, to live the message correctly, and to spread it to all peoples. This call was made by Archbishop Andrew Nkea, archbishop of Bamenda while celebrating the opening mass of the 2024 National Congress of the World Apostolate of Fatima , at Holy Family Parish in Limbe.
Celebrated under the theme ” Praying for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for Peace in Cameroon and the World”, the archbishop reminded members of the message of Our Lady of Fatima, noting that the ultimate consequence of sin is war, and that the remedy for war is prayer. He challenged these members to pray the rosary without ceasing and he reminded them, that this is the weapon against the battles of sin.
Reminding them of the message of Our lady of Fatima, in 1917, to the three little shepherds, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, he highlighted that Our Lady of Fatima asked for a deeper love and reverence for the Most Holy Trinity that leads to renewal in one’s life, for prayer and penance in reparation for sin and for the conversion of sinners, for a more genuine devotion to the Eucharist, devotion to the Holy Rosary prayed in meditation and for the consecration to her Immaculate Heart.
Members were invited to live their lives in response to this message, and to surrender all to God for peace to reign in their hearts and in the entire nation.
The host Bishop, His lordship Michael Bibi, while saluting members for their work of evangelization, encouraged them to remain steadfast in their mission as they continue to spread the word.
It should be noted that the mission of the World Apostolate of Fatima is the new evangelization pursued through the promotion of the authentic teaching of the Catholic Church and the strict adherence to the tenets of the Gospel; the personal sanctification of its members through faithful adherence to the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal, and the promotion of the common good by the spreading of this same message.
The national congress of WAF runs from July 24th to 27th, 2024 at St. Anne High School in Limbe
