Progress toward the completion of the ongoing construction works at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre has taken a major step forward, following the arrival of a full truckload of tiles delivered today, November 22nd, 2025.
The tiles were offloaded at the construction site, marking a key milestone as the project enters its final phase. According to the construction team on site, work is advancing rapidly on the third and fourth building blocks, which are nearing completion.
The ongoing expansion project at the Pastoral Centre is designed to greatly enhance the Diocese’s capacity to host large-scale ecclesiastical gatherings. The new structures will feature single rooms, study spaces, apartments, and spacious halls equipped with multiple beds all intended to accommodate church groups and delegations during major diocesan events.
The arrival of the tiles signals that finishing works are now underway. Once fully completed, the upgraded facilities are expected to significantly improve lodging, meeting, and formation spaces for priests, religious, lay leaders, and visiting groups.
