It was a mix of professional display, cultural animation and encouragement as a team made of the proprietor; Bishop Michael Bibi, Dr. Apollinaris Mbah and Dr. Dr. Robert Wessel stormed the avenue of St Pius X Comprehensive and Technical College Middle Farms, Limbe , to see the works done by the young engineers of this trade college.
Exhibiting a mastery of the skills impacted in them by their tutors, the young creative minds of the different departments, presented practical projects which they have been working on. The students of the electrical department displayed the making of home electrical bells and electrical switches and how electricity flows from one point to the next.
These creative minds further impressed their guests by presenting a buildup frame of a rechargeable range rover, designed to function without the use of fuel but rather with the use of electricity.
For the department of welding, it was an opportunity for them to showcase the window protectors they designed during their stay in this hands-on academic environment.
The guests also had time to listen to the engineers of the building construction department. These students explained the technicality involved in the construction of a fence and its pillars, and how they are being protected from the effect of rain.
Amazed by these impeccable displays, Dr. Apollinaris Mbah; one who has been at the center of linking up the Diocese with one of the main sponsor of this project(the husband of late Mrs. sandy) expressed satisfaction in the professionalism exhibited by the students and told them to worry only about their studies while the benefactors he said, will worry about making the environment more conducive for learning .
On the other hand, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Robert Wessel, while congratulating the students for the fine skills exhibited, encouraged them to put in more efforts in their studies so that they will be shinning lights and great men and women in their communities.
While building and riding the bicycle at the same time, the Proprietor Bishop Michael Bibi, reassured the student population of putting in place the necessary workshops in the days ahead and to complete the giant school structure before the start of the new academic year 2024/2025. He also informed the students of the readiness of the diocese to provide opportunities for them to implement the skills gained at SPICOTEC.
Reverend Sister Vera Bi Otia; Principal of SPICOTEC, also used this opportunity to render thanks to the proprietor Bishop Michael Bibi; all the benefactors and friends of SPICOTEC and promised them that they will continue to do just their best so that these students entrusted to their care emerge as job creators.
