The Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea His Lordship Michael Bibi, recently paid a courtesy visit to the ongoing construction site of the church building at Sacred Heart Parish Bomaka in the Diocese of Buea, to assess the level of work carried out at the site since his approval of this project.
This project which at the moment has seen the realization of the foundation thanks to local contributions by the supportive Christian populace of the church community and donations received from the Archdiocese of Toronto, is one aimed at providing a befitting environment for worship and prayers .
Speaking to Rev. Fr. Albert Egbeji, Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish Bomaka, he highlighted that this project is estimated at three hundred and fifty five million francs CFA and that the church has the capacity to house about 3,000 Christians.
The construction of a new church building at Sacred Heart Parish in Bomaka it should be noted is to address the growing Christian population of this environment presently and in the future.
It is worthy to mention that this project is one of the many projects in the Diocese of Buea under the supervision Bishop Michael Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea.
