It was a celebration of Thanksgiving and praise to God as Priests of the Diocese of Buea, religious men and women, Christ lay faithful, family and friends joined Rev. Fr. Augustine Anuchem as he celebrated the golden Jubilee of his birth.
Fr. Anuchem Augustine celebrates 50!
The celebration of this milestone of Reverend Fr. Anuchem Augustine this 8th day of February 2024 commenced with holy mass at the Regina Pacis Cathedral in Small Soppo, Buea, in the presence of His Lordship Michael Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea.

Fr. Augustine Anuchem launches first book.
Celebrating 50, the event was marked by a book launch by Reverend Fr. Augustine, titled “Give Me Again The Joy Of Your Help” . This book is a prayer that captures the essence of priestly vocation ; a vocation that inspite of its trials, remains an unceasing source of joy.
Fr. Augustine Anuchem expresses gratitude
The author Rev Fr. Augustine while talking about the book, highlighted that his inspiration in writing this publication, came after two majour assignments given to him by his Bishop, Michael Bibi to give a talk to the priests of the Diocese at two different occasions. He reminded the congregation of the spiritual significance of the mountain and encouraged readers to read the publication and have a deeper understanding of the mountain, Climb the mountain, harvest the message and come back refreshed. He extended gratitude to all the priests who appreciated his presentation that also led him to publish the book.

As he celebrated with the community , the priests was congratulated by his Bishop for such wonderful publication . His Lordship Michael Bibi also prayed for God’s grace upon his brother priest and for growth in his ministry.

The second part of the occasion witnessed the cutting of the anniversary cake ; a sign of happiness and unity with friends.
The event also saw the thrilling performance by Glory drops; an acapella religious group to which Fr. Augustine is a member.
