Ahead of the 75th anniversary celebration of canonical erection of the Diocese of Buea, efforts have been doubled to complete the two anniversary projects; Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral and Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre .
Installation of giant Screens
At the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral which shall host the peak anniversary celebration come April 24th, 2025, giant screens have been installed for the projection of this celebration and others that will take place at the Co-Cathedral.
The beautiful and clean walls are getting more visible as the painters use their expert skills to give the Co-Cathedral just the look it deserves.

On their part, carpenters have been working endlessly to complete the over 400 aesthetic benches needed to fill the house of God and provide a convivial prayer ground for the Christians.
Stepping into the Co-Cathedral, it would be difficult to lose sight of the professional tilling of the external steps leading into the church as well as the topnotch electrification , lightening and the installation of a sound in this masterpiece.
Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral
Few meters away from the Co-Cathedral is another giant structure; the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre, whose second building is near completion ahead of the 75th anniversary celebration of Buea Diocese. The second Storey building of this Centre has been roofed , painting and other finishing works are taking place concomitantly to meet up with deadlines . This will be used alongside the already completed Storey building, to house the Bishops of Cameroon who shall be in Buea for their 48th annual general assembly of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon; NECC in January 2025.

Still at the Pastoral Centre, is this massive banquette hall under construction which shall address the needs of space to accommodate Christians during diocesan celebrations and others.

Work is equally progressing at the building which will host the sisters in charge of the administration of Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre .

As the months draw closer to weeks and weeks get closer to the D-Day; 24th April 2025, the Diocese of Buea which is the mother Diocese in Cameroon, pays attention to every detail to ensure the success of the 75th anniversary celebration of their Diocese.
