During this consultative meeting, participants engaged in meaningful dialogue about the vision for the Diocese of Buea, particularly in light of the question: “What kind of Buea Diocese do we want after 75 years?” This question serves as a guiding principle for the synod, encouraging thoughtful reflection on the future direction and mission of the Diocese.

The preliminary preparations for the synod encompass spiritual, catechetical, and formational elements, all designed to cultivate a deeper understanding of the Church’s mission among the faithful. As the Diocese approaches this significant milestone, the preparatory commission is committed to ensuring that the synod serves as a vital platform for dialogue and discernment.
The official opening of the synod is scheduled for July 11 at the Regina Pacis Cathedral, coinciding with the feast day of Regina Pacis Cathedral in Small Soppo. This ceremonial event will mark the beginning of an important journey for the Diocese, as it seeks to engage its members in a collective vision for the future, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration within the church community.
