
In a heartfelt message to the faithful of Christ the King Parish in Movange, Tiko, Bishop Michael Bibi, the Local Ordinary of the Diocese of Buea, emphasized the importance of perseverance in the Christian journey. He called upon parishioners to remain steadfast in their faith, particularly as they embrace the transformative power of Jesus found in the blessed Sacrament, now housed in the newly dedicated tabernacle.
During his homily, Bishop Bibi challenged the recently confirmed to be true witnesses to the Gospel message, urging all faithful to overcome laziness and work joyfully as they await the second coming of the Lord.

Coinciding with the 9th World Sunday of the Poor, the Bishop urged Christians to not only pray for those in need but to actively extend a helping hand to the poor. He referenced the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 3443 to 3449, which highlights the Church’s mission of love and solidarity with the less fortunate, calling for the faithful to share their blessings generously.
As part of the pastoral visit on November 16, 2025,the Feast of Christ the King, Bishop Bibi dedicated and blessed the new tabernacle. He quoted the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 1379, noting that the presence of the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle allows priests to bring communion to the sick who are unable to attend Mass, in addition to serving as a space for the adoration of Christ.

Madam Rosaline, the chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council, she expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Shepherd for his presence and support. She noted that after acquiring the new tabernacle for approximately 26 million FCFA, the parish’s next project is to tile the church, enhancing comfort for worshippers.
