The seven Deanery Councils, along with the Chairpersons and Secretaries from the 40 Parishes in the Diocese of Buea, convened for a significant meeting today January 25th 2024 at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Center.
The gathering took place within the context of the pastoral week which started on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, and is expected to run for a week

The focal point of the meeting was on the concerted efforts to enhance the coordination and functionality of the various Commissions operating at diverse levels within the Parishes and Deaneries. Participants engaged in insightful brainstorming sessions, aiming to devise effective strategies to streamline the collaborative efforts of these commissions.
Under the guidance of Fr. Sebastian Fonsah, the participants meticulously assessed the current situation on the ground, scrutinizing the extent to which meetings are being held at different levels. This thorough evaluation aimed to identify existing challenges and potential opportunities for improvement.
The meeting also witnessed the formulation of resolutions aimed at fostering a spirit of sacrifice among the participants. The objective is to instill a sense of commitment and dedication, ensuring that the structures within the Parishes, Deaneries, and the overarching Diocese operate cohesively.
