
On Sunday, 19th October 2025, Bishop Michael Bibi led a solemn Eucharistic celebration at Regina Pacis Cathedral, Small Soppo–Buea, to mark World Mission Sunday. This annual event focuses on praying for the Church’s missionary work and supporting the Holy Father’s efforts in spreading the Gospel.
Celebrated under the theme “missionaries of Hope Among All People”, the bishop reminded the faithful that every Christian is called to be a missionary, spreading Christ’s message daily and everywhere. He emphasized the Church’s universal mandate to evangelize without fear or hesitation.

The prelate further noted that the dycastery for their evangelization of people is headed by the Holy father and is responsible in ensuring that the churches missionary activities are implemented efficiently. The prelate urged Christian’s to pray for more vocations in the church and support the holy father in his efforts in carrying out this vocations
Bishop Bibi also shed light on the importance of the Pontifical Mission Sunday Collection, which supports missionary activities worldwide. He encouraged Christians to give generously, noting that the Diocese of Buea itself has been a major beneficiary of such support which has greatly subsidized and helped the diocese it carrying out its missionary mandate.
Worthy of note, is the fact that the church, the pontifical collections facilitate the gospels mission of reaching the ends of the earth.
