
The ceremony to officially hand over to the newly appointed Director of Justice and Peace in the Diocese of Buea took place today, Friday 31st October 2025, at the Justice and Peace Office in the Diocese of Buea.
The event was presided over by the Vicar General of the Diocese, Monsignor Jude Mbi, in the presence of the Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Augustine Anuchem, the Bishop’s Private Secretary, Rev. Fr. James Ajumbo, the Director of CARITAS, Mr. Ernest Piere, and the Deputy Director of Communications in charge of Media and Information Technology, Mr. Mbah Lucas Tebo.

Sr. Djiomague Chimene, the outgoing head of the service, expressed gratitude to the Bishop, His Lordship Michael Miabesue Bibi, for the opportunity given to her to serve in this crucial office of the Church. She outlined some of the achievements recorded during her tenure, notably in the areas of support to vulnerable persons and prisoners, among others, while also highlighting a few challenges encountered along the way.

On her part, the incoming Director, Madame Mbong Joyce, equally thanked the Bishop for the confidence reposed in her and appreciated Sr. Chimene for her collaboration and dedication. She pledged to work closely with her team to ensure that the goals of the Church continue to be fulfilled through the activities of the office.

In his closing remarks, Monsignor Jude Mbi encouraged both the outgoing and incoming Directors to maintain collaboration and continue sharing ideas for the greater good of the office and the Diocese of Buea.
