
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Christians, friends, family, and well-wishers gathered at St. Martin de Porres Parish in Bokwango to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Reverend Fr. Batamack Jean, the parish priest. Ordained on April 9, 2015, by Bishop Emeritus Immanuel Bushu, this milestone event brought together a college of priests, religious community members, family members from near and far, and parishioners from all the parishes Fr. Batamack has served.

It was an event during which participants thanked God for the gift of Fr. Batamack to the church and prayed for his continuous dedication and service in His ministry.

Over the past decade, Fr. Batamack has served in various parishes and schools, including St. John Bosco Teachers Training College in Buea. Throughout his ministry, he has been a guiding presence in the spiritual lives of his parishioners, offering Baptism, Confession, the Eucharist, retreats, recollections, and more. Reflecting on his journey, Fr. Batamack acknowledged the challenges he has faced, emphasizing that while the path has not always been easy, he has remained steadfast in his vocation. As he celebrated this significant anniversary, Fr. Batamack promised to renew his commitment to serve his community with the same dedication and love that has characterized his first ten years as a priest .
