“To whom much is given, much will be required” (Luke 12:48). These words formed the central message of the thanksgiving Mass celebrated for workers of the Diocesan services in Buea Diocese this Wednesday, 22nd October 2025. The solemn Eucharistic celebration, held at the Pastoral Center chapel, was presided over by the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese, Bishop Michael Bibi.
The Mass was organized to thank God for the progress and achievements made across the 24 diocesan services, acknowledging Him as the source and summit of all success. It also served as a moment of communion, reflection, and fellowship among the staff whose various offices are united by the shared mission of evangelization.

BISHOP BIBI DURING HOMILY
In his homily, Bishop Bibi reminded workers that the structures and commissions outlined in the pastoral plan only come alive through their daily commitment and service. He challenged all staff to embody the spirit of the Gospel in their work and personal lives, becoming active instruments of evangelization.
He also emphasized the need for excellence, openness to growth, and teamwork, calling on everyone to continually strive toward being better versions of themselves and living witnesses of God’s Word.
The Local Ordinary further challenged the workers to be living witnesses of the Word, urging them to continually strive to become better versions of themselves in service, character, and faith.
