The Christian community of Christ, the King Parish Movange, Tiko has been encouraged to remain connected and united with Christ, who opens new opportunities to everyone. Celebrating the Eucharist with his Christians during the second day of his annual pastoral visit, the Local Ordinary of Buea Diocese Bishop Michael Bibi focused his homily on the importance of staying united with Christ. He outlined the different ways in which Christians can stay united with Christ, and he noted that prayer is key. Through prayers, Jesus opens many doors and opportunities. He called on the Christians to be humble when praying, for humility is the foundation of all prayers. In addition, Christians were urged to believe in Jesus, love each and every one, listen to God’s words, and practice what He teaches.
According to the Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Joseph, the Christians were excited to honor the presence of the Chief Shepherd to their hospitable and hardworking Parish; Representing the entire parish, the parish pastoral council chair extended words of congratulations to Bishop Bibi for the invaluable transformations in the Diocese since he took over powers to cater for the Diocese of Buea.
He went further to solicit assistance from the bishop as they strive to complete the parish church. The Christians declared their unwavering support to the Bishop as they offered to him parish and individual gifts; a sign of gratitude to the Chief Sheperd.
Bishop Michael Bibi concluded his two days pastoral visit with words of appreciation to the community for growing spiritually and for their commitment in supporting the Diocese. He pledged his full support to the parish in facilitating the finishing of their parish church.
The two-day visit, which started on Saturday the 27th of April 2024, ended joyfully on April 28th, 2024.
