The title of Monsignor is an honorary distinction conferred upon priests who are typically at least 65 years of age. While they are not ordained for a specific rank, this title signifies a recognition of their lifetime of service to God and the Church. Being named a Monsignor calls for a deeper commitment to their spiritual duties, serving as role models for younger priests and embodying a renewed life in Christ.
