The Local Ordinary of Buea Diocese His Lordship Michael Bibi has invited members of the Catholic Women’s Association C.W.A, to be models of Faith and to work diligently to foster the mission and piety of CWA throughout the Dioceses in Cameroon and beyond. This call was made on July 26th, 2024, by the prelate during the inaugural mass of the 10th General Congress of C.W.A taking place at Bishop Rogan Minor Seminary, Small Soppo.
Thanking God for the blessings and gifts received by the women over the past 60 years, the Local Ordinary acknowledged the founder of CWA; Mamy Foncha Anna and prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon her and all the members of the apostolate.
He urged them to use the General Congress as an opportunity to set strategies and select leaders who will foster the growth of the apostolate. Despite challenges that theses members may face, the prelate encouraged them to remain firm in faith and not to relent in the sacrifices they make for the growth of the Catholic Women’s Association.
Holding within the context of the 75th anniversary of Buea Diocese erected on the 18th of April 1950, Bishop Michael Bibi, during the celebration, invited the mothers to the dedication of the Divine Mercy Co-cathedral set for January 5th, 2025, and also for the peak celebration of the 75th anniversary slated for April 24th, 2025.
