Professor Victor Julius Ngoh during the send -off celebration was recognized and praised for not only accepting to run the university at a time when many heads feared to identify with CUIB but for staying truthful and loyal to the instituted authorities of CUIB and also for putting the good of the university at the core of his leadership.

According to the Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of the Catholic University Institute of Buea, Bishop Michael Bibi, Prof. Victor Julius Ngoh took over CUIB at a challenging period. He noted that “when I made the decision to appoint a new president for CUIB, one who will be physically present and run the university according to its mission and vision, many people were afraid to loss their head, but Prof. Victor Julius Ngoh answered Yes to me in obedience to his Bishop and for his love for the Church. When he came to begin work as president, the gate of CUIB had been sealed by some unscrupulous persons who wanted to stifle the initiative of the Bishop. Nevertheless, the law took its course and the university had to continue”.

During the thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration held in the Chapel of CUIB this Saturday October 28th 2023, Prof. Victor Ngoh was acknowledged for exhibiting selflessness in leading CUIB as President and for accommodating the challenges that came with this position. Given his resourcefulness, Prof. Ngoh still remains an asset to the university and a valuable personality in the life of the Diocese of Buea. As member of the Education Council of the Diocese of Buea, his talents and gifts will continue to be a source to tap from at any point in time.

Worthy of note is that Prof. Victor Julius Ngoh took over the running of the Catholic University Institute of Buea on the 1st of July 2020 and served the university, with visible achievements till June 2023 when his mandate came to an end.
This event was equally an opportunity for the faculty and staff of CUIB to celebrate the works of their former president and to wish him well in his endeavors.
