The year 2025 is evidently one with many expectations from Cameroon’s oldest Diocese – the Diocese of Buea which will in this year, celebrate its 75th anniversary. As anxiety looms in the hearts of many, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese His Excellency Michael Bibi is more determined to meet the expectations of his flock. The evidence is visibly present at the Co-Cathedral situated in Molyko-Buea, where there is a marathon at the different levels of construction work.
Visiting the site on Wednesday the 27th of September 2023 alongside his close project collaborators, His Lordship Michael Bibi expressed positive sentiments on the ongoing construction work. The fitting of balusters is taking shape, and the aesthetics of the Co-cathedral is becoming more visible.
At the upper section of the Co-cathedral, the floor is being prepared for tilling in the days ahead.
During this visit, the aluminum experts were spotted at work, determined to achieve the installation of windows as projected while maintaining a taste of class. These windows have been designed to project among other holy images of the Catholic Church, the Saints and the Angels.
Meeting with Bishop Michael Bibi, the engineers reaffirmed that quality is a priority to them as the Bishop expressed satisfaction in the work achieved so far.
Though much is yet to be attained at this site, the Prelate is confident that with the recorded magnanimity of His Christians and people of good will within and out of the Diocese of Buea,
According to the Chief Sheperd of the Diocese Bishop Michael Bibi, the support from Christians have been massive and it is a sign that this Bishop’s Seat would come to full realization no later than the year 2025; a year that will witness the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Diocese of Buea, the 25th priestly ordination anniversary of the Chief Shepherd Michael Bibi among other major diocesan events.
