The construction of a sizable hostel for the students of the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB), featuring 56 rooms, is gaining momentum, with approximately 85% of the building now completed, as reported by Rev. Paschal Siben, Deputy Director of Projects in the Diocese of Buea.

CUIB HOSTEL
On March 21, 2025, Rev. Siben joined His Lordship Michael Bibi, the Local Ordinary of the Diocese, and the diocesan contractor Mr. Avic Anye, for a site visit to inspect the ongoing work. This significant project, just eight months in the making, aims to provide a comfortable and well-equipped environment for CUIB students.

Upon completion of the initial 56 spacious rooms, further structures will be developed to extend similar services to CUIB students and others in the Buea Municipality. The hostel is strategically located at the Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Buea, and the project is expected to be finalized in the coming days.
