The College of Consultors of the Diocese of Buea held this Friday the 20th of October 2023 to discuss issues patterning to the welfare of the Diocese. These members, who have as mission to assist the Bishop in the governance of the Diocese in accord with the provisions of the church’s law, assessed the current state of affairs of the Diocese of Buea and highlighted key areas for attention as the Diocese moves forward.
Presiding over the meeting, His Lordship Michael Bibi appreciated the efforts made by each member of the College of Consultors to ensure the success of the Diocese. He called on them to stay committed in their work as they build the kingdom of God.
It is worth noting in that according to Canon 502, from among members of the council of priests, the Diocesan Bishop freely, appoints not fewer than six and not more than twelve priests, who are for five years to constitute the college of consultors.
The meeting which took place in the conference hall of the Bishop’s house in Small Soppo, closed with echoes of joy as the team commended the transformation taking place in the Diocese within the past three years, spearheaded by the Chief Shepherd Michael Bibi.
