On October 31, 2025, the Pilgrims of Hope from the 26 dioceses of Cameroon marked the seventh day of their journey in Rome by convening at the sanctuary of San Francesco. During this gathering, they continued to pray for their dioceses, families, and peace in Cameroon.
Presiding over the Eucharistic celebration was His Lordship Bruno Ateba, the Bishop of Maroua, who expressed deep gratitude to God. He encouraged the pilgrims to remain close to the principles of love and justice, as highlighted in the Gospel of St. Luke.

At the conclusion of the Mass, the pilgrims visited and prayed at the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano, an extraordinary event believed to have occurred in the eighth century in Lanciano, Italy. According to tradition, a Basilian monk, grappling with doubts about the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, experienced a profound transformation during the consecration, witnessing the bread and wine turning into flesh and blood.

Pilgrims later gathered at the Basilica of Saint Mary, where Pope Leo XIII proclaimed that all who enter this basilica would receive full indulgence for themselves and their loved ones.
