Drawing to the peak celebration of the 75th anniversary of canonical erection of the Diocese of Buea, renovation works at the Regina Pacis Cathedral in Small Soppo Buea cannot go unnoticed. The chief shepherd of the Diocese His Lordship Michael Bibi, on Monday July 8th, 2024, paid a visit to the site to ascertain the progress of work so far.

The installation of the ceiling and general renewing of the roof gives the esthetics which this Bishop’s Seat Deserves.

While these renovation works continue at the Regina Pacis Cathedral to give it a face lift, a fund raising aimed at mobilizing funds to continue this renovation has been organized to take place on the 14th of July 2024 at the Regina Pacis Cathedral beginning with a solemn Mass to be presided over by Bishop Michael Bibi at 9.am.

Prelude to this fundraising event however, the Cathedral shall be hosting Christians from the seven deaneries of the Diocese of Buea, for the Diocesan Feast Day: the Regina Pacis Feast Day which shall take place on Thursday July 11th, 2024.

Built in 1928 and made Cathedral in 1950, the Regina Pacis Cathedral shall undergo renovations at the level of tiling of the floor, installation of a befitting sound system, and an extension to accommodate the Christian populace among others.
