He delivered this important message on June 8; Pentecost Sunday during a profound Silver Jubilee celebration honoring Sister Edith Teresa of the Carmelite order. The Archbishop praised Sister Edith as one of the most authentic human beings he knows, reflecting on her dedication and contributions over the past 25 years.

In his homily, the prelate elaborated on the Mystery of Pentecost, emphasizing the transformative power of the gifts of the Holy Spirit bestowed upon Mary and the Apostles. He explained that the Solemnity of Pentecost symbolizes the unity of God’s people, countering the confusion that arose at the Tower of Babel. This message resonated deeply with the congregation, reminding them of the importance of solidarity in faith and mission. From Sister Edith’s vocation, Archbishop Nkea noted key lessons: that her calling is a testament to God’s divine choice, emphasizing the love God has for her and that Sister Edith’s dedication stems not from personal strength but from the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
