
Rev. Fr. Happi Nicholas was laid to rest at the Regina Pacis Cathedral Cemetery in Small Soppo on April 10, 2025. The burial mass, presided over by His Lordship Michael Bibi, took place at the ceremonial grounds of Regina Pacis Cathedral.

During his homily, Bishop Bibi referenced the Catechism of the Catholic Church, highlighting the positive perspective Christians should hold towards death. He quoted paragraph 1011, emphasizing that through death, God draws us closer to Him. The Bishop thanked God for Fr. Happi’s life and expressed gratitude for his services in various capacities within the Diocese, urging Christians to pray for Fr. Nicholas’s eternal rest.

Reflecting on Fr. Happi’s journey, the Bishop noted his appointment in 2023, during which he closely supported the pastoral life of the military. The Bishop recalled observing a concerning health condition during a military mass on March 10, 2025, prompting a medical check-up that ultimately led to Fr. Happi’s passing on March 27.

Born on May 28, 1975, Fr. Happi was ordained in 2016 by Emeritus Bishop Immanuel Bushu. The Bishop praised him as a transparent priest who diligently reported his pastoral and financial activities.
