The event was graced by the presence of esteemed state officials, including Bernard Okalia Bilai, the Governor of the Southwest Region, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration. The atmosphere was charged with joy and reverence as priests, religious leaders, and devoted Christians from the Diocese came together in this Eucharistic celebration, setting the tone for a week of reflection, dialogue, and spiritual renewal for the church’s leadership.
In his heartfelt homily, Bishop Agapitus Nfon encouraged the faithful to be beacons of love and light in the lives of their friends, family, and all they meet. He emphasized that the primary mission of the bishops is to draw Christians closer to God and implored the congregation to pray for their bishops and the success of the conference. He reminded them to celebrate and express gratitude for God’s love, particularly in the context of the Solemnity of the Epiphany, celebrated on this day.

During this important feast of faith, the prelate spoke powerfully about Jesus, our King, who embraces humility and identifies with the suffering. He challenged the faithful to actively work towards bringing their loved ones closer to Christ, encouraging them to become guiding stars in each other’s lives.
He concluded with a profound reminder: “The greatest gift we can offer to Christ is our love to one another. As we continue this sacred journey together, let us embody His love and shine brightly in our communities.”
