One day after his return from the USA, Bishop Michael Bibi embarked on an extensive tour of key diocesan projects, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the development of the Diocese of Buea. His first stop was the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral, where he inspected the ongoing construction work.
At the Co-Cathedral, Bishop Bibi meticulously examined the newly installed lighting system, checked the tiling, and reviewed the giant screens and benches as the impressive structure began to take shape amidst the construction debris.
His thorough tour included inspecting every glass pane, ceiling, stained wall, and tile, ensuring that the quality met the standards required for the sacred space.
He also visited the basement, where chairs, plates, and tables intended for use in the halls of the Bishop Pius Awa Pastoral Center were stored. The Bishop inspected the basement halls, toilets, and furniture, ensuring everything was in order.
Following his visit to the Co-Cathedral, Bishop Bibi proceeded to the Bishop Pius Awa Pastoral Center. Here, he inspected the convent that will house the Reverend Sisters who will manage the center. He then moved to carefully examine the second building designated for the pastoral center, which is nearing completion. During his detailed inspection, the Chief Shepherd scrutinized each room, inquired about the wardrobes, toilet installations, and lighting, ensuring that every detail was addressed.
Bishop Bibi’s visits underscore his dedication to the diocese’s growth and his hands-on approach to overseeing these vital projects. His meticulous inspections and inquiries reflect his commitment to excellence and his desire to create spaces that will serve the spiritual and communal needs of the Diocese of Buea for years to come.
