Counting down to the celebration of the Diamond jubilee of the Bishop Rogan Minor Seminary , Small Soppo, Buea, the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi, former student of BIROCOl, paid a working visit to the minor seminary this 13th day of January 2025, to appreciate the level of preparations as the peak celebration draws closer.
Visiting the campus, the Chief Shepherd expressed satisfaction at the renovations done so far on campus to host the milestone event. The clean environment and the beautifully painted walls of the classrooms, chapel and dormitories could not go unnoticed.
The Local Ordinary also made a stop at the toilets which have been refurbished to give the students a healthy environment as they carry on with their formation at this minor seminary. He expressed gratitude to the administration of BIROCOL and the ex-students of this house of formation for their contributions in giving the school a face-lift.
The Bishop Rogan College it can be said with certainty, is ready to celebrate 60 years of formation of priests. The four days celebration will start on the 16th of January and culminate with the peak celebration slated for Saturday the 19th of January 2025 at the school auditorium.
BIROCOL was instituted in 1964 by Bishop emeritus of Buea Jules peeters and dedicated to Bishop Rogan, first bishop of the Diocese of Buea.
The event shall be celebrated under the theme “let your light so shine before men”.
