Buea, February 3, 2025 – His Lordship Michael Bibi, Bishop of the Diocese of Buea, paid a visit today to the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral and the ongoing construction at the Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre. The visit aimed to assess the finishing touches on the co-cathedral and the progress of construction works at the pastoral centre ahead of his upcoming BEPEC meeting in Bamenda.

Accompanied by the Parish Priest of the Co-Cathedral and Dean of Molyko Deanery, Rev. Fr. Frank Bayong, Bishop Bibi meticulously examined various aspects of the ongoing projects. Technicians have commenced installing the decorative scarve on the ceiling of the massive structure, marking significant progress in the final stages of the co-cathedral’s completion.

The Bishop’s next stop was the adjacent Bishop Pius Awa Memorial Pastoral Centre, where he inspected the state of work on the third building, which will be an integral part of the centre. The structure, upon completion, will house 54 rooms, providing essential facilities for pastoral activities within the Diocese.

Overall, Bishop Bibi expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work and commended the dedication of the technicians working on the projects.
