
On November 3rd, 2025, at the Regina Pacis Cathedral, Small Soppo–Buea, Bishop Michael Bibi, Chief Shepherd of the Diocese of Buea, led a catechetical session focused on the Pastoral Structures of Evangelization, particularly emphasizing the Ecclesial Movements and New Communities Commission.
In his catechesis, the chief shepherd highlighted that these movements are an integral part of the Church’s pastoral strategy for evangelization. He stressed their vital role in fostering the active participation of the lay faithful and deepening the Church’s mission of holiness, in line with the universal call to holiness.
The prelate reiterated that the ecclesial movements and new communities are tasked with promoting interpersonal communion, organizing seminars for spiritual growth, guiding Christians toward living an authentic Christian life, and upholding the value and sanctity of human life.
These groups include catechists, committed lay faithful, and individuals well-versed in Church and societal matters.
